Transfer Credit Schedule
The CGA Association evaluates post-secondary courses for credit in the CGA program. The Transfer Credit Schedule is prepared for information and guidance only. As course numbers and content change depending on the year of study, the schedule is subject to change without notice. Transfer credits granted will be based on the Association's evaluation of the student's academic credentials. Students may apply for Advanced Standing to the CGA office, along with official transcripts of marks and a resume of any related experience. Where multiple university/college courses are listed for a CGA credit, all the courses must be completed. A minimum course grade of C+ is required for transfer credit.
Transfer Credits
Individuals requesting transfer credits must complete and forward the following items to the CGA Student Services - Maritime Region Inc. office:
- Complete the Student Admission Form
- Official transcript of marks, sent directly from the post-secondary institution to CGA Student Services - Maritime Region Inc.
Transfer credit evaluation reports are retained on file for two years from the initial evaluation date. If enrolment is postponed beyond the two year period, your transfer credits must be re-evaluated.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CURRENT STUDENTS COMPLETING TRANSFER CREDITS OUTSIDE THE MARITIME REGION MUST BE APPROVED BY THE CGA STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE.
ONLY CHALLENGE EXAMS WILL BE GRANTED FOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING 4 (FA4) AND TAXATON 1 (TX1) EQUIVALENCIES EXCEPT FOR THE CGA NS/SMU AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 2010.
